Overall, everything was great! My van had a pretty terrible engine noise, and most shops wouldn’t even look at it. Honest Accurate did take a look, found the problem, and did the repair. The van is running great, and I’m so glad we were able to get it taken care of. My only criticism, is that the diagnosis cost $120, and they were going to still charge me that on top of the repair cost. That put me in a situation where I wasn’t going to be able to afford the repair and the diagnostic. The staff weren’t able to do much, and I told them I’d have to pick the van up. They did call back, and waived the diagnostic fee. -but I feel like most places do that, without the hassle.
In the end, it went well.
Phillip, I am glad your Caravan is running well now and we very much appreciate your business! Thank you for your feedback on the diagnostic charge, as it gives us an opportunity to explain why the diagnostic process is so important. Because we have hired technicians who have the experience and aptitude to figure out more complex problems, we have found that we are able to accurately diagnose the problem, therefore fixing it correctly the first time (often saving the customer time and money in the long run). I think you would find that if you took the car to another shop where you did not have a separate diagnostic charge, the charge will actually be included in the total labor charge. We prefer to be very open about the time we spend on repairs and diagnostics, so that you understand exactly what you are paying for.
