I was lured into an office without doing any research. Typically I read reviews on Google maps. This time I did not – and maybe I should have.

Oftentimes reviews can be mixed and misleading which may prevent you from having a great experience or coax you into a bad one. Personally I look at the writer, not what is written. It is a fact that people are more motivated to write a bad review as we carry anger or frustration until it is vented or ‘ranted’ – much longer and with more motivation than the feeling of a good experience, so the reviews can be skewed more towards the negative side of the spectrum. Either way I knew: I would rather go to the dentist on ‘my’ terms other than out of necessity.

So ten fillings and three visits later I have to say: I now trust Dr Gutierrez 100%. She was straight forward, caring and professional throughout my experience. From the initial visit for a treatment plan to the last filling, Dr G was consistent and focused. The assistant I had the most experience with was Evelyn.

It is comforting when the assistant and Dr have minimal communication. A good assistant will anticipate what the Dr needs and will often pass an instrument while receiving another with one hand simultaneously. It’s great to watch this interaction as it is a sign of an assistant’s experience with a particular Dr., and in general. The transition between planned treatment and a couple surprises was seamless -Evelyn was prepared and unwavering. If you opt to go elsewhere – pay attention to this.

Brandi in the front office is a great communicator as she always explained things on a level that I understood. I always remembered what she said with regard to pre-during-and post appointments. I was treated like a person- not a patient.

A fair review has to be honest. The office could use a small update in technology which many are very pricey, but can go a long way. Other than that, all ten fillings went well without discomfort or pain. I was prepared and nervous just waiting for the moment where that jolt of pain strikes-but it never happened. And over the course of 3 - hour and a half visits-that’s amazing.

I like the way my teeth feel, look and perform. I have more work to be done next year but I will be keeping my hygiene appointments with Crystal. I can not believe how good it felt to have a teeth cleaning done as it has been quite awhile. Thank you for doing that, and see you next month.

Last but certainly not least there is Dana. She is an incredible person, upbeat and pleasant. She is the office manager and the one person who is solely responsible for ‘luring’ me into the experience I had at Hospitality Dental. For the first time-in a long time- I am not self conscious about smiling. You have no idea how this experience has made me feel everyday. I now value my teeth and have discovered it is never too late to start a dental plan. Thank you all for everything you have done so far. It has absolutely changed my life.
