I love that we were able to complete spanish paperwork and there was a bilingual receptionist. She was very welcoming and patient. However, when we went through the initial consultation with the tech and the opthomologist, It felt very rushed and like they were just trying to finish the appointment. I understand it was probably busy and there were other patients to take care of but this does not build trust or leave room to build a relationship with the patient. It was our first time there and I do not think we will be coming back. The services offered were what we needed and the office was in network but the bedside manner left us feeling uneasy.

My experience at Dr. Hawthorne office for this last appointment on 9/9/2021 was amazing as always. I have been a patient for over ten years at Howerton. Dr Hawthorne has done several surgeries on my eyes. the employees were very pleasant, knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. I was in the office for the appointment and out in an hour.

I find the staff helpful. My temperature was taken. I can still get exposed by people who have the virus and do not have symptoms. I must stated that I was very uncomfortable with the amount of people that were in the waiting room given the current status of COVID. Patients should be given an option to wait outside the waiting room or in their personal vehicles instead of waiting for an hour in the waiting room. Please be mindful of the need to keep patients safe. I will request to wait in my vehicle next visit instead of the waiting room.
