Staff at front desk not wearing masks or wearing masks incorrectly. Front desk removing mask to answer phone calls. Woman at front desk had mask around chin the entire time. Dental hygienists compliant. These interactions made me feel uneasy and unsafe.

I show up to my appointment to find the doors were locked. I thought maybe it was a COVID-19 precaution, that patients were being let in one by one. I called the office number to let them know I was there, and I was informed that the office had changed locations since my last visit. The building I went to still had a directory in the lobby listing Hudec Dental suite 300, and suite 300 still has a Hudec dental sign next to the door. I was not informed of this change when setting my appointment, but it was no big deal because the new office was only 5 minutes away. So counting the time it took for the phone call and to drive over I was late to my appointment by 10-15 minutes. When I walked in I was scolded with the MOST passive aggressive greeting from the secretary (office manager/administrator, I am not sure her proper title). She pointed out that I was 15 minutes late, and when I apologized saying I went to the wrong location she curtly pointed out that their office had moved in January 2020. The emphasis of her sentence implied that I was foolish for not being up to date with this change, when I imagine that right at her finger tips she could see that my last appointment was prior to their office relocation. My actual dental care was excellent, I was treated with professionalism, and greeted with a friendly demeanor. Dr. Khoury is amazing, kind and patient. She is 5 stars. I understand that I was late to the appointment which causes problems for the office schedule. I would also give the benefit of the doubt that I caught the front office employee on a bad day, but still, the lack of basic customer service skills and frankly rude comments are unacceptable. If you cannot take my appointment because I am late, just have me reschedule. Do not take a patient and use passive aggressive language with them because you are upset, this is not the behavior of a mature professional.

Dr.Khoury explained in detail a procedure
I may need in the future, but there was no
pressure to schedule. She left me to decide
when I want to go ahead with it.
I appreciated that.
Cindy, at the front desk, took time to help me
with my questions and concerns, even though
she was very busy making calls to patients in between greeting and arriving each patient
that walked in.
I really appreciated that!
When you start out at a new office, you are unsure of how things will go, but all in all, my first visit was a very positive experience.
