I made 3 hair appointments for my sister, niece and I for my wedding starting at 1pm, as well as an appointment for makeup to follow for myself. Also made was an appointment 3 days before my wedding day to speak quickly with the stylist I was going to use. The wait for the consult appointment was about twenty minutes. Candace was lovely and kind and we had a brief meeting and I was told that I would have my makeup done prior to the hair appointment which wasn't an issue. When we arrived on the day of my wedding, it was a bit of a wait for my sister and niece to be taken back and I was told that the person doing my makeup had a cancellation and would be able to start my makeup sooner then thought. At this point it was past my appointment time. What was frustrating is that I wasn't the one who changed the order of the appointments of hair then makeup, and I wasn't taken to the makeup chair until 1:30, half an hour after my appointment was scheduled for. The woman who did my makeup was super nice and gave me some recommendations and listened to what I was looking for but at about 2 she was asked by the people on the desk how much longer we would be because of the hair appointment starting. If they knew the makeup person had a cancellation, why didn't the salon have me in the hair chair first, and why was I scheduled for a time to have my makeup done by someone who wasn't available? Also aggravating was having to check at the desk about the hold up prior to the appointment. While I appreciated the work done by all the women who did our hair and makeup, perhaps they need to be more up front about wait times upon checking in.
