Check in process did not go smoothly. Questions like: "should we resuscitate your dog in the event something unexpected happens"? Maybe think abuot slightly different wording or consider that my 9 year old was in the room. (she was worried that "something" bad might happen for the rest of the day) You have a member of our family in your care. How else would that question be answered?
I'm sorry to hear our surgery admission process did not go smoothly for you and your pet. Even though we take every precaution to make anesthesia safe for your pet, we need to make sure our clients understand the risks when their pet is sedated. Unexpected circumstances can happen when a pet is sedated. Questions like: "should we resuscitate your dog in the event something unexpected happens" is a very important question that needs to be discussed to honor your requests. We try to be sensitive to younger children when present at admission but we can not over look the significance of these questions. I understand that you consider your pet as one of your family and feel this questions for you is easily answered as YES. However, not everyone would answer in the same manner. We need to meet every clients expectations and make sure they understand the risks with anesthesia. I'm more then happy to discuss this further if you would like to call.

Callie spent 4 days at IWV while I was away 4 days. She was happy and came home relaxed and her usual self. I didn't worry while I was away, I knew she was in the best and safest place. Thanks IWV!
It's always a great experience to visit I.W.! Dr. Goldblum and Jen W. are friendly and kind to both my pets (Becky and Winston).I am always confident that they are in good hands for our appointments! It is obvious how much you love your patients! Thank you!
