I went to Ingram because of a $200 Groupon. I presented the Groupon ( I paid $45) prior to paying and assumed that it was taken into account, but I found instead that I paid full charges. When I contacted them, they said they had already billed my insurance and copuld not reverse charges. They will not respond to emails or return calls.
Due to your post including false information, Demandforce allows us to have it removed as long as we have proof of the false information. We have decided to leave it up and would rather respond to each portion of your review. We are uncertain how you can say you contacted us and we told you about your insurance and we couldn't reverse the charges but then say we did not respond to your emails or calls. We have copies of the emails from us to you that you responded to if you would like them. These two statements are contradictory.
Stating you came here because of the Groupon is not entirely correct. While you may have come to us in addition to the Groupon, you stated a friend referred you. Also, you noted this referral and not the Groupon, on your intake forms. In regards to presenting the Groupon to us prior to going over the charges for your glasses in the optical, you simply did not. When someone has insurance and a Groupon, we make it a point to always compare the two. We've also done this on multiple occasions prior to someone purchasing the Groupon. This is similar to how we discussed with you multiple insurance benefits for the examination you had. We would not have discussed one without the other. Also, you did not pay full charges. You were given the appropriate discounts with your insurance. The Groupon clearly states it can not be combined with insurance. Again, after discussing with you the charges at the check-out desk and also paying for the glasses, at no time did you question the charges or ask to have the Groupon charges discussed. You may like to know, you can get a full refund from Groupon as we would encourage you to do so.
