For the longest time, I was not a fan of hair salons. Living in the Atlanta area for 10 years, I tried several different salons and eventually went 2 years without a haircut due to not finding a stylist I meshed with - that "got me". I had some health problems occur, which caused my hair to start falling out and become THIN. Being female, hair is so much a part of who we are day in and day out. My hair hit an all time low at the end of 2015 - I needed to do something. My best friend told me about the stylist she sees at Jamison Shaw. She gave me the information and it took me about 5 months to work up the nerve to seek professional help with my hair.
I went to Jamison Shaw and met Emma.
Emma listened for 30 minutes as to the story with my hair and what had happened. She advised on doing a good cut, "just cutting away all the bad and letting it go - starting over". The first haircut made me feel human again. This week I went to see Emma for my 5 week haircut. We opted for a short bob; hoping that it would solve the insecurities I was experiencing with my hair again. Emma cut my hair to 100% the way we discussed, and half way through the blow drying process I looked in the mirror and my eyes started watering. It had been a few years since I felt like I "got my grove back". Emma finished styling my hair, and by the time I stood up from the chair - I was me again. The haircut has been transformative and uplifting. She is not only a great stylist, but a friend and ear to talk to.
Thank You Emma :)
