Prior to my appointment with Dr Ahn I had made the gross error of looking up on YouTube and viewing the dental procedure of 'crown lengthening' I was scheduled to have performed by Dr Ahn and his staff the following week. What I saw frightened and horrified me of this upcoming surgery which required removing excess gum and bone tissue to reshape and expose my natural tooth, or the cavity that was beneath the surface of my gums that was causing me all the trouble and discomfort in the first place. To say I was apprehensive and extremely nervous the morning of my surgery and during my 70 mile drive to Dr Ahn's state-of-the-art dental facility is an understatement .... In retrospect I should have known better.

Once I arrived it was more than apparent to me that Dr Ahn years of knowledge and experience in the treatment and conditions that affect the teeth and gums of his patients was in skilled hands, which is strengthen and advanced by hundreds of additional hours in twenty-first-century dentistry, understand this is in addition and above and beyond Dr Ahn already impressive doctoral degree in modern dentistry that began to put me at ease. With his highly skilled and experienced staff I received a completely pain free operation both during the procedure and after, now in my third day of recovery and I remain totally pain free, with no medication while rapidly healing with each and every passing day.

In my personal opinion Dr Ahn's masterful surgical skills in addition to his credentialed and equally proficient professional staff and their obvious attention to unparalleled patient care made what I originally lead myself to believe was going to be an extremely anxious moment in time to be no more uneasy than an enjoyable walk in the park. The English poet John Milton in his classic book 'Paradise Lost' reminds us all, " The mind is its own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven." What I foolishly allowed myself to believe was going to be a harrowing event, a morning of hell, turned out to be all in my head. In reality thank heaven for Dr Ahn, his dedication to patient care, and the family like environment of his office supported by his polite and highly skilled staff which are second to none.

It should go without saying that I am a full throated advocate of Dr Ahn, along with his professionally focused staff and their constant and continued on going education in the advancement in the art and of modern dentistry, which is all directed and purposed towards serving their patients dental needs and wants that makes my round trip of 140 miles well worthwhile, add the peace of mind and I count myself among the fortunate patients of Dr Ahn for life.
