I was in there yesterday and had a cut with Karen Stout. I was very unhappy. My hair did not look good coming in the salon but looked worse when I left. What really got me was the price. $80 for only a haircut Wow is all I have to say. Highway robbery.

From the time I arrived, everyone was courteous and committed to making my day enjoyable. The masseuse was great, the woman who did my nails exceeded my expectations, and I was offered beverages and hand massages frequently. However, this is not a 5 star rating because of Michael, who was doing my hair. I showed him a picture of what I wanted. At first, I was told no. Finally, he agreed to do a more muted version of what I'd asked for, which looked like I'd cut my own hair without a mirror. And then, it was too short to fix. A woman came and tried to fix it but the damage was done. My hair is better than when Michael finished but it's not what I wanted and I'm not satisfied with it.
I had a Spa Pedicure for the first time at Josephs. I wanted the more expensive pedicure based on the description, mainly that it was relaxing. However, the chair did not allow my head to relax back, lighting was uncomfortably bright and service felt rushed. I am new to Louisville having moved from NY but I expected a better pedicure than received. I would not return to this spa for that service.

I know the lack of a head rest is not the most comfortable - I am concerned that you were not offered a bolster pillow or a heated neck wrap to enhance the relaxation process. Michael cut my hair. Unlike my opinion about my color, I somewhat knew what I did and did not want done with my hair. He listened and very quietly began cutting my hair. Usually, a stylist will ask how much off but Michael did not. So I was nervous. Final result....It Looks amazing!!!! Another wonderful professional from Joseph's. Thanks, Michael!
