Roland Park Vision Services
I have had two great experiences at Roland Park Vision Services. I live nearby so when my glasses broke (the hinge screw fell out and was lost) I went there and they fixed my glasses for free! In order to "pay them back", I scheduled my next eye exam there. The staff and doctor were extremely nice and did a great job. I also appreciated that the office was open by appointment only and everyone inside was wearing masks. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because when I called to make my eye exam appointment, the (older sounding?) woman who answered the phone was impatient and seemed like she was annoyed like I was bothering her. I went to this salon based on a recommendation, for a blonde balayage. The stylist placed color over the grow out and previously dyed hair causing there to be two very different colors on the front strands of hair. See attached image. At the appointment I expressed that I did not like the way the color turned out on my hair. The colorist said they could not promise to make the colors match on the strands of hair. Following this they continued to try and tell me that it looked good and show it to me in different lighting. I followed up asking for a refund. Which caused the colorist to become upset and claim that they did good work and that the previous coloring was not their fault. I informed them that I was not implying the previous color was their doing, rather that they caused the strands of hair to be discolored rather than match. Then they said I could come back in and they would fix it. This salon is over an hour away from me, and in-person this colorist said that they couldn't promise the color would match. After experiencing these events I did not want to go back. In the end they paid me back the tip only and proceed to offer me discounted rates. All after I said I was not coming back in.
