I thought the exfoliation treatment was lackluster. I had a good practitioner but the treatment was very overpriced for what it entailed. I am use to paying top dollar for treatments at hotels when I travel but also use to really outstanding experience. The treatment entails some brushing, an exfoliation, a trip to the shower then back to the room for moisturizing. For $150 plus 20% gratuity?! Anyway, I would make this a more robust treatment!

I loved the technicians and staff who worked on me (who gave me a facial and massage), they were fantastic! I was overall disappointed with the size and space of the spa. It was small, noisy and shares space with the pool which meant the toilets were out of toilet paper often and towels were not restocked. It is not what I would consider a high end spa which I would 100% expect from a hotel like the Intercontinental. My appointment was also messed up. I requested the Seed to Skin package ($420) however the staff member who entered my appointment entered two facials vice a facial and a massage. I was supposed to receive a foot soak, scalp ritual, 80 minute massage and 80 minute facial of my choice. This was not confirmed when I checked in, which would have caught the mistake and instead I started with the facial (which I should have realized was a mistake immediately). I did not get a foot soak - just a foot treatment and no scalp treatment which they did advise they took off of the bill. They did their best as they realized the mistake after my facial and called in a masseuse on stand by and offered me a glass of champagne while I waited. And my massage was exceptional. It was just not the experience I anticipated for a $500 value with tip. I do want to reiterate that the technicians and staff who do the treatments were phenomenal - I do not want that to be missed. I offer this to those who are booking to clearly articulate what you would like and then to reconfirm either the day before and / or upon check-in.
