Worst customer service ever…I had to call 911 and ask to send the police. I have a 2007 Chevy Silverado and the rear drum brakes are squeaking so I called Just Brakes and made a 0730 appointment for the next morning. I arrived at 0735, Just Brakes was not open and the manager was sleeping in his car. After the manager opened the store, we did the paperwork and he said he would inspect the rear brakes and give me a call with an estimate. The manager called me around 0930 and said after his inspection, it will cost me $1,450.00…WHAT! He said my rear drum brakes need a total replacement, my front disc brakes need replacing and I need a new battery. I told him $1,450.00 was too high of a quote. I said I just need the rear drums replaced and he quoted me $975.00…WHAT! I told the manager that Just Brakes is just too expensive so I will come in and pick up my truck and take it elsewhere. He said OK. 5 minutes later he called me and asked how much his competitor was charging? I told him $350.00 and he said he will price match so I agreed. All he needs to do is call the company and get the quote on paper. The quote he got was $550.00. At 1100 I called Just Brakes to see if they received a quote. I talked with another employee and he said the quote of $550.00 was a ridiculous low price. I should take my truck there because Just Brakes will break even and they are out to make money, laughing during the entire phone conversation. I told him I will be in shortly to pick up my truck. I arrived at Just Breaks around 1130 and asked for the keys to my truck. My truck was parked out front with both rear chrome rims covered with black gook and brake fluid leaking making a puddle. The manager said before he can give me my vehicle keys, I must first sign three documents stating Just Brakes did not do any work on my vehicle. He said my vehicle is not drivable because it has no brakes and he is not responsible for anything if I drive it off his lot. He recommended that I call a wrecker (at my cost) and have it towed. I said I drove my vehicle to Just Brakes and I want to drive it safely out of Just Brakes. The manager said no way. The manager said he will make my vehicle drivable but it will cost me…WHAT! I told the manager this was not right and I will call the police. He said go ahead, so I did. San Antonio Police Department arrived about 30 minutes later. I gave the officer my story then he went to the manager to get his story. The officer said there is not much he could do and this is exactly why we have lawyers, judges and law suits. I needed to get my vehicle fixed so I finally signed the three documents to get my keys and vehicle. My experience with Just Brakes is the worst ever. Just Brakes has zero customer service and uses bully tactics just to make a buck. Just Brakes does not support veterans, I was treated better by Saddam Hussein’s Republican Guard than I was by Just Brakes employees. I am a Civil Service worker and I will never recommend Just Brakes to base personnel. My wife is a nurse and will never recommend just Brakes to all Health Care Professionals. Sad day for just Brakes, just sad!
