I have been a customer on and off of Kanna Spa for years. I have always been super impressed with the professionalism of the staff and customer service until now. On my most recent trip, I went for a one hour infrared sauna session. Upon my arrival, nobody was at the front desk so I waited for a while until somebody finally showed up. The staff seemed "hurried" and "flustered" to me which did not set the relaxing atmosphere I was hoping for. I was not offered tea just water and when I asked if I could have some tea, the staff seemed confused by my request, but they did provide as requested. Not sure if the policy has changed since I last went, but tea and water was always offered to me which was such a nice touch. During my session, the 2 staff members working that day had zero consideration and were talking loudly which did not provide the atmosphere I was hoping or paying for. I asked them to please keep their voices down because I was not able to relax. Was I upset? Yes I was. Unfortunately this set the tone for the rest of my session and it was unfortunate I wasn't able to enjoy it like I have in the past. This has never been an issue for me and on previous visits, staff have always been very quiet and conscious and considerate. I understand it is a small space and staff have to walk back and forth to do their job which is not the problem. What is a problem is when the staff forget where they work and that people who utilize this service are there for a reason: to relax, regroup, meditate, and to heal. I can't even stress hard enough the importance of spas these days with all the stress we are all under. I am a front line hospital employee so this service is of the utmost importance for my well being. I'm really bummed I even have to write this review, but I feel it needs to be said.
