My experience was frustrating and painful to say the least. Ive been in two times for a simple cleaning and still have to return for a third visit because the hygienists don't value people's time! I do believe they are milking my insurance to scam more money. I'm never going back!

I am very sorry to hear that you were frustrated regarding your hygiene experience. Contrary to your perception we definitely value our patients' time. The length of time required to clean a patients' teeth depends on the amount of tartar buildup we find. Tartar is the hard deposits found on teeth, it can only be removed with scaling (no amount of brushing will remove it). Once we have removed the abundant tartar buildup you can avoid multiple professional cleanings by adhering to a meticulous home care regime of brushing several times per day for 2 minutes each time and flossing daily. The soft plaque that you remove at home doesn't have the chance to harden into tartar which shortens the time it takes the hygienist to perform your cleaning. When you choose a new dentist they will see on our xrays and perioprobing charts that your oral situation warranted multiple cleanings. We are definitely sorry to see you go. I hope I have adequately explained the need for multiple hygiene appointments. We wish you all the best.
