To be honest I was very disappointed with my appointment. I asked for Bella’s nails to be trimmed and ears cleaned as there was a lot of wax they came to get her and left me in waiting room?? Then bring her out 5 mins later and say let me just say Bella is very anxious and she would need sedation to get her paws trimmed. We could barely get blood from her we don’t have the man power here to hold her down to trim nails. Her ears are very dirty/waxy you’ll have to use a rag or some gauze to clean them if she. shakes head or scratches come back to see vet. Really? I’m at the vet? Oh abcc dad thdd as g will b Ed $368. 180 of this is flea and tick and heart worm but 186 to not do what I ask?? And what was sprayed on her that smells like perfume and WHY?

Hello Donna,
After reviewing Bella's medical record, it looks like you were here for a technician only appointment after you declined a full doctor exam. We did see her for a wound repair in January so we make an exception to do this as a technician appointment only. We do not have doctor time set aside for these appointments, which is why you were advised to schedule an appointment if her ears continue to bother her as technicians cannot legally diagnose or prescribe medications. Also, our doctors generally do not recommend cleaning ears as it can lead to irritation. The technician noted her ears were not very dirty at her appointment and again advised you to see a doctor if the ears were bothering her. Regarding the nail trim, the technician assessed Bella and determined that she was extremely terrified while here. We do not like to force them into nail trims which can make their experience coming to the Vet very unpleasant. We often recommend owners come back after giving them a sedative so that the experience is better for the pet. As far as charges, yes, $192 was towards prevention. The other charges included a blood draw for the Heartworm and tick screening test, the Heartworm and tick screening test, a fecal test for intestinal parasites and the Leptospirosis and Lyme vaccine. For technician appointments, the pets are taken into the treatment area to free up exam rooms for doctor appointments. My dog unfortunately left with a very sore hind leg that he wouldn't use for a week. The vet manipulated it quite a bit and I am sure that led to the soreness. First bad experience I have ever had
