I went back to have my van checked out because the engine was running rough after I told them that it was the spark plug because I just recently replaced it. I also told them that it wasn't like that before I replaced the old one. But sure enough I was charge the diagnostic fee and all together it cost me close to $200. $200 to replace one spark plug . In addition to that no one called me to authorize the work that is going to be over $100. I will not go back to have my cars worked on because ikc Martin is a rip off.
IF A CUSTOMER IS UNHAPPY WITH THE CONCEPT
THAT THEY HAVE TO SPEND MONEY FOR
SERVICES RENDERED, WE HAVE NO CONTROL
OVER THAT. IF THE SAME CUSTOMER FEELS
THE NEED TO BROADCAST THEIR PERCEIVED
DISSATISFACTION, WE PREFER THAT THEY
STATE THE FACTS. IN THIS CASE, THE CUSTOMER
WAS UNABLE TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE HIMSELF,
SO HE BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO US AND
STATED THAT "THE ENGINE RUNS ROUGH BOTH
AT IDLE AND WHILE DRIVING. THE ENGINE
SEEMED TO RUN O.K. BEFORE THEY REPLACED
THE SPARK PLUGS AND IGNITION CABLES." THE CUSTOMER ALSO PREAUTHORIZED UP TO $100.00 FOR TESTING AND/OR REPAIRS. WE WERE ABLE TO RUN A SERIES OF TESTS, ISOLATE THE CAUSE TO A DAMAGED SPARK PLUG (ONE OF THE HARDEST TO REACH BETWEEN THE ENGINE AND FIREWALL), REPLACE THE SPARK PLUG AND TEST DRIVE THE VEHICLE TO CONFIRM A SATISFACTORY REPAIR, ALL FOR $114.97, INCLUDING SALES TAX OF $10.26. I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THE CUSTOMER CAME UP WITH THE $200.00 FIGURE? PERHAPS THE CUSTOMER IS UPSET BECAUSE HE HAD TO PAY TO HAVE A REPAIR PERFORMED ON AN ISSUE
THAT HE CREATED, BUT WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE HIMSELF?
