I am extremely saddened to write this review. I have been a long time and faithful customer, but will no longer be coming to your salon. In addition, I can now personally speak to 3 other people who will not because of my experience. This includes two family members as well as a best friend. I am saddened because many happy memories (including that of my wedding prep) were made there. I made an appointment and was clear from the onset that I would be bringing my 4 year old daughter for her first haircut. She has been afraid of getting her hair cut despite numerous attempts and coming to "mommy's salon" was like a prize. I made it clear that she may cry and not allow the hair cut to happen, so I would feel badly blocking a stylist's time, but that if she was able to sit with me while I had mine done, she would be made at ease. When we arrived, not only did I find out that there was no mention of her in the reservation, she would not be allowed to sit outside while I got an eyebrow wax with Stephanie (who takes all of 30 seconds to do my brows and has been for years - PS Stephanie is the only saving grace during this whole ordeal). The front desk staff made "accommodations" to have my hair cut in a separate room then only to find out that the stylist was having car troubles and would not be making my appointment at all. I overhead the front desk tell another customer the same about a separate stylist immediately prior to telling me, so you can imagine that this information was kind of hard to believe. They were able to reschedule my brows for 9:15 and hair for 9:30. On my way out I overheard your front desk staff comment "oh there she goes." Your front desk staff was extremely unprofessional and tactless. This includes a young staff member with short blond hair and a member who I overheard tell another customer that her mother was from Jamaica. Upon leaving, my daughter burst out in tears when she realized we were leaving without getting her hair cut. Months of preparation for this appointment were wasted and could have been easily avoided. Upon returning, I was checked in promptly and enjoyed my visit with Stephanie. My stylist was nice and my hair cut was fine (it was a very simple straightforward trim) but upon check out (you can check that I tipped properly) I watched the hair stylist snickering with the front desk staff (again mother from Jamaica). I was horrified. I have never had this experience before. Maybe they are young and immature, but there is no place for that level of ineptitude in a place of business. I could care less that they were talking about me, but at least have the simple common sense to do it behind closed doors. I do not wish to be contacted about this review, but please know that this experience will not be kept quiet and I hopeful this makes it back to your front desk staff that were working on Saturday 7/14 and used as an experience on what not to do in front of customers and how to behave in a social situation with regards to a customer when you are at fault. You are only as good as your weakest links and there was not an ounce of goodness, grace or professionalism here.
