Let me begin by saying I have "poor people teeth" - crowded, yellowed, not good teeth. Indeed I was poor most of my life and nothing shows this more than my teeth, even my tattoos. Doctors tend to judge us because of these things but not this fellow.
I was terrified. I am afraid of All Doctors due to a childhood terminal misdiagnosis. Still, air hurt my tooth and I had to go. Dr. Edwin Shertzer saw me and was so calm, so kind. He is the only doctor to ask me *why* I fear doctors. He was especially careful with locals (two different shots, taking a careful long time so it wouldn't hurt at all).
I was wrong about which tooth was messed up but the x-ray showed the truth. He fixed that tooth AND filed down an enormous, bulky, weird canine filling from another doc. After insurance my bill was a mere 77 dollars (I have a Delta Dental plan). A bit sore, I called and was instructed to take whatever OTC works for me. Ibuprophen (600mg) did the trick. I intend to get my mouth fixed here. As soon as I got home I called my mom and stepdad and told them about my experience. I daresay they will take my advice since their dentist is retiring.
