I suspect the quality of repairs is satisfactory, but the service was definitely sub-par. I asked Eric (at the counter) when I dropped the car off early in the morning for suspension work to also have the mechanics perform a Texas State Inspection while my car was at the shop to avoid dropping it off a second time. He said he would check to see if the proof of auto insurance was in the console. The suspension work could not be completed that day. Later that day I stopped in (mid-day) at the shop to see if Eric had located the insurance documentation because I had not received any information from him. He was at lunch, so I called the shop and talked to Eric. He said he found the insurance documentation. The following day after lunch, Eric called to tell me of additional repairs required prior to the inspection..then at 5pm he called to say the car was ready but they could not perform the inspection because the insurance had expired two days ago! Why couldn't he tell me that earlier?? No apology, no accountability on Eric's part.I picked up the car and will take it elsewhere for the inspection. Poor communication on Eric's part.
We are very sorry for all the misunderstanding on the Inspection portion of your service. We apologize for not getting your Vehicle proof of Insurance upon your arrival which is our standard proceedure for vehicle inspections. Our miscommunication as to looking at your proof of insurance and the outdated date is truly our error. We try to offer this service as a complimentary benefit for our customers while the cars are being serviced. As we do not do Registration inspection on out of state cars; as we actually send those vehicles out. We truly apologize for any inconvenience.
