The roots of The Koetting Associates can be traced back over 100 years when John Koetting opened an optical shop along side his jewelry store. His son, Dr. Felix Koetting, began his optometric practice in 1921, followed by his son, Dr. Robert A. Koetting, who founded The Koetting Associates. Today, our professional staff is led by Dr. Carmen F. Castellano, a nationally recognized contact lens specialist, who is one of only 200 persons to have successfully completed the requirements to become a Diplomate in the Section on Cornea, Contact Lenses and Refractive Technologies of the prestigious American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Castellano was joined in practice in 1992 by Dr. Craig Sorce and in 2011 by Dr. Joseph Castellano. Our doctors work with a team of trained assistants and technicians.

I would like more transparency with charges and what is submitted to Medicare and vision insurance. I’d like to know what has been submitted to each and what the individual charges are for the office visits for the eye exam and contacts/eyeglasses. It will help me make more informed decisions about my eye care. I’d also like to know if glasses prescriptions are changed. I had to find out that my glasses prescription was changed through the billing manager. I have no problem with the care I received.
