Krites Excavating was organized in 2011 with Member/Partners David Krites and Brad Krites. The family owned business is fully insured and licensed to offer a complete line of excavating, demolition, seeding, and snow removal services.

David Krites has been in the excavating business for over 35 years. He earned an Associate's Degree in Agri-Business and served as the General Manager for a local grain elevator for nearly 33 years. He grew up on a farm, learned to operate many types of equipment and continues to farm today. His love of machinery led him to purchase his first backhoe in 1974 to help local farmers with their excavating needs for tile repair, etc. Dave added snow removal services in 1984. The decision to make this his full time profession led him to start his own business, David Krites Excavating, in April of 2005.

David's son, Brad, grew up on the family farm and under his dad's tutelage became skilled in operating equipment and knowing the importance of being a good steward of the land. Brad acquired the necessary licensing and ongoing training, and in April of 2007 decided to start his own business, Krites Landscaping & Excavating, offering lawn care/property maintenance, seeding and excavating services.

During the ensuing years the father and son collaborated on a number of jobs and felt their skills and resources would be better utilized with the formation of a Limited Liability Company. On December 31, 2010 David Krites Excavating and Krites Landscaping & Excavating were closed and on January 1, 2011 officially organized as Krites Landscaping & Excavating, LLC. In 2013 the decision was made to focus on the excavating portion of the business and assumed the trade name of Krites Excavating.
