The people at Kuzma Advanced Dentistry are wonderful. They are always courteous and nice. I feel my cleanings and exams are thorough; however, I have given an average rating because I am really sore today. The hygenist was very rough when flossing my gums. Also, I always leave there feeling like they are trying to sell me something when I have not complained of problems. It is one thing if you go to your physician and communicate that your joints are achy or you feel sick or you are irritable all the time, then the physician would diagnose and treat. But here, I feel they are looking for a problem in order to prescribe me a solution. I just think there is a fine line between being proactive and a sales pitch.
Kuzma Advanced Dentistry-Michael J. Kuzma, DDS PA replied:
Certainly we don?t want any of our patients to experience any discomfort, and want to apologize on behalf of the hygienist for the rough flossing. We make special effort to be aware of our patient?s comfort level throughout their care. In the future please let us know if during any portion of your treatment anything feels rough or uncomfortable.
Early diagnosis can often help our patients avoid further problems and future expenses. We want to educate our patients so they understand any findings and are able to make good decisions about their care. It is always the patient?s decision whether any treatment is warranted or not. We are certainly not trying to sell anything but rather give you our very best by identifying any problems we see. Often time patients don?t recognize there is a problem until it is too late or gone on too long.
