Before my recent experience I'd give them a 5, but now I would not recommend to anyone! I paid $180 for my daughter to get blonde ombre, yes this included a blow dry which we would not have needed if we wouldn't have had the color job. Well, ombre failed, said my daughter had chemicals on her hair (not true). When I asked for a redo they were "scared" they would damage her hair. When I asked for a refund since I didn't get what I paid for I was told by the owner that they would no longer be able to do my daughter's hair. I have used Lacru for around 15 years, and because they make a mistake once that I want corrected im, you might as well day banned from using them. And I did get a partial refund..for 110, back out of 180.. Still had to pay for the blow dry and style which we would not have gotten had we not been there for the color job. So, no due to the owner, Stephanie, I do not recommend them!

Thank you for your review.
Your 11 year old daughter did come into the salon on March 26,2016. The requested service was for an ombre performed by one of the stylists.
We generally do not recommend chemical services for adolescents 14 years old or younger (in some cases we do, with parents consent) because of adolescence/hormonal issues, which may alter results of chemical services. In your 11 year old daughter's case it did happen.
The stylist did have concerns when your daughter's scalp started feeling unusually warm when the foil placements took place (you were present at the time). The stylist called Stephanie over for advice, because in our profession this particular episode has never happened.
Your daughter's hair started lifting rapidly during the application period.
So the stylist and Stephanie thought that it was best to shampoo the color off immediately and tone it. Your daughter's hair was very porous so yes it did absorb the toner quickly. At that point, yes the stylist did not want to re apply more bleach to her hair due to the possibility of damaged hair.
Your husband did bring your daughter back Tuesday March 29, 2016 for a re-do, but you were not present. We explained to him that it was best not to re bleach her hair because it would damage/fry her hair. We also stated to please not go elsewhere and have a color service done or it would be devastating!
We did say that possibly there was chlorine or some type of imbalance that was causing her hair to react like this.
Stephanie explained this over the phone to you as well and you were very understanding at the time.
We are truly sorry that we could not render her service. It was not out of "FEAR" or "SCARED" because we truly care about the overall healthiness of each and every client's hair that we service.
Yes you were told that we could not offer chemical services on your daughter's hair (for at least 2 years). We did not ban your family from the salon. We would gladly offer haircut services for your family and chemical services for you.
We are sorry that you are still dissatisfied even after our phone call and your refund of $110 on April 1st, which yes it was for the color service only because you stated that you were satisfied with your daughter's haircut ($30) and style($25) and the total included a $15 tip.
Once again, we are truly sorry that you are disappointed in us for putting the integrity of your daughter's hair first.
