I was extremely impressed with everyone in the office and how friendly and welcoming they were! I could tell how passionate everyone was about animals and I loved all the time and care put into them by the staff. Dr. Downs was incredible and offered great advice and made sure she gained my dogs trust where other vets had not in the past.

We always appreciate Dr. Cavadel and all the staff that have supported our 4 dogs during the last three years as we moved from the west coast. Three of our dogs are rescues and everyone handles them very gently understanding they may be more frightened of being at a vet. We are always confident in the advice and any surgeries our dogs have had. Thank you all!

Great caring Doctors and staff.

I continued receiving emails to bring in a fecal specimen for my dog. Since I work two jobs it is difficult to stop by, and when I did I was charged for not being in "the window" of the required time, so much for being a 10 year customer!!!!

Very happy with the veterinary care that my dog received. Dr. Downs clearly explains the diagnostic and treatment recommendations. Written cost estimates are provided. Little River Veterinary clinic communicates the results of all blood work and other tests promptly and effectively. My dog has responded very well to the treatment he has received for arthritis. The clinic is very clean. No odors in the reception area. All of the staff are friendly, courteous, and clearly enjoy working with animals.

A note for other patients:
The doctor alerted me to the tooth wear caused by tennis balls (my dog's passion is chasing and chewing on tennis balls) and indicated that this wear was probably due to the grit the balls picked up. I looked into this with the following results:
1. I believe the wear is caused by the material a tennis ball is made of. It's essentially a fine grained scrub pad. Great for creating a durable tennis ball, but bad for dogs' teeth.
2. Chuck-it makes a durable, smooth rubber tennis ball - sized ball. It's a bit heavier than a tennis ball, but not much, and is flexible (hollow), so no risk of injuring the dog as a hard ball might do. They're available at pet stores and Target. They're expensive... around $10 for two... but worth it if it avoids wearing the dog's teeth down as a tennis ball does.
Many thanks for pointing this issue out before it became a significant health issue.
