My husband and I have been going to M&R for years and have had no complaints at all . A few nits to pick this time tho. Brought my car in around 8 am for a thorough check before handing it off to my daughter to bring off to college. Under 50K miles on the car, no problems that I noted. I wanted any and all maintenance done that seemed as though it might be needed in the next year to facilitate car upkeep . M&R did check everything , and it ended up needed only a replacement of fluids as per the regular maintenance schedule. That's all good.
I dropped a star for 2 reasons: I asked them to check one particular thing, and it wasn't noted on the checklist they gave me so I had to call them and confirm they did that, a minor annoyance. And they called late in the afternoon, when I was ready to pick the car up, to say the car would be ready the NEXT afternoon. There were no significant repairs needed, and there had been no earlier heads up or indications that the car would not be ready the same day. 2 days is a long time to keep a car that needed only routine fluid changes. When I noted my surprise that they needed more time, they did say I could have it the next morning, but because of prior commitments I was unable able to pick it up in time to use the it when I needed it.
I would have like a heads up about the possibility of not finishing the work in the same day when I dropped it off, or a call earlier in the day about needing more time so I could have planned for the inconvenience, and maybe chosen another day to bring it in. In all my other dealings with M&R, same day maintenance is the norm unless there are major repairs to be done or parts to be ordered. Perhaps this is just a one-time glitch.
