As a young wheat farmer in central Idaho, my grandfather, W. W. Riggers, would travel to the orange country of California to work during the winter. Not only was this a great way to supplement his income, it also got him out of the cold weather in Idaho. This picture was taken near Visilia, California, during the mid 1920s.

M&R Sales began in 1986 in Ontario, Oregon. Rick Bauman, the head baseball coach at Treasure Valley Community College, was looking for another fundraiser for his team. That first year they sold 400 cases of oranges. TVCC is our oldest customer, having been with M&R Sales Fall of 2014 will be our 28th year. consecutive years. Their order each year will be around 2400 cases of California Naval Oranges and Texas Rio Star Grapefruit.

Since then, we have worked with over 168 schools and organizations, including ski teams, dance groups, bands, choirs, and numerous athletic teams.
