I have been going to the Mane Event for my haircuts for nearly two years now and I have never been so disappointed by their service. I made an appointment for 9 in the morning and waited about 20 minutes before my stylist even showed up. I described what I wanted done and even provided pictures but instead received a jagged, choppy mess that was much much shorter than I had wanted. Due to her lack of blow drying ability I left the salon without realizing just how bad the cut was until my mother noticed the unevenness in back and I found chunks of hair throughout that hadn't been cut at all. I called back and was able to come in at 12 to get it fixed for free which I definately appreciated and Richard did an excellent job. However, my hair is still way shorter than I ever wanted and not the style I had asked for. Yet the biggest disappointment was when I came in to get my cut corrected, a noticed my original stylist sitting and observing because apparently she was STILL IN TRAINING. I was not informed by the woman who made my appointment nor the stylist herself that she was not a professional and I would not have kept the appointment if I had known this. If I ever go back to the Mane Event I will make sure to request Richard (and only Richard) seeing as he is the only competent employee there.

Since you stated that you have been coming here for two years, you realize that we have a very reputable staff, who are completely dedicated to giving a great service. This is why it was of the utmost importance that we immediately attempted to correct the situation. Complete customer satisfaction is the focus of our salon, and we want you to always be happy with the service that you receive. The stylist in question has been a licensed cosmetologist for a year and a half and has been with us approximately two months. Until your appointment, she has consistently pleased her clients, and has had many repeat customers even in her short time with us. As a direct result of your complaint, she was immediately moved to a position of training and observation to ensure that her future clients would have only the greatest experience that is expected from our salon. This is why it appeared to you that she was in training. We genuinely value your time and your business. Please think of us in the future- and we hope that you will remember the two years of satisfied appointments instead of this one frustrating one.
