I returned to this excellent vet after being away for a number of years. My lab retriever passed at 11 years old after being diagnosed with brain cancer at 6. Thanks to the support, advice and guidance of Dr. Fish of Massapequa Hospital for Animals she was able to go on living a beautiful life.
Years after her passing, we decided to get another puppy, this time from a shelter, and we visited the shelter vet for routine treatments. Earlier this year, when our mixed breed turned 4 she became ill and after having a battery of tests at the shelter vet with no diagnosis, we decided to return to Dr. Fish. Within 10 minutes of reviewing her symptoms Dr. Fish came up with a possible diagnosis but couldn't be certain until she had a few tests. Sure enough the very next day, he called and confirmed she was suffering from pancreatic insufficiency, a disease that is treatable.
There aren't enough words to express what a wonderful place this is to bring your loved one. From the positive feelings in the waiting room, the pleasant office staff to the wonderful boarding area they have for pets. Although we don't leave her often, our dog is so happy, clean and playful when she returns home. I can't say enough about this place. I'm so happy to be back.
