Overall the visit was fine except for one thing. It was snowing and wet out the day of my appointment. Yes there was a mat near the door, but to prevent slipping by older or impaired dogs it would have been good to have more nonslip matts down for the animals. Also I mentioned to the vet that I was carrying my dog because she had an operation on her knee recently and I didn't want her to slip and hurt something again. The vet was careful and good but I had to give my dog to the vet to give to the techs to give her her shots and wait in the waiting room. The vet carried her to the back but when she came out they were walking her out. It turned out fine but she easily could have slipped. Her physical therapist told us we should have nonslip matts on all surfaces to prevent injuring her knee again. I don't see why a vet office that takes care of sick and injured dogs wouldn't be extra cautious and also have matts down on slippery surfaces whether it's wet outside or not, but especially when it's wet out.
