This is the very first time that my wife and I felt that Master Muffler didn't live up to expectations! In the past we had been treated very fairly, but when I took my wife's 2002 Honda Accord SE in yesterday with the quick struts I purchased online, they apparently looked at an old labor price book and charged us for removal, assembly, and installation of all the strut components.
My wife and I are on Medicare and, although I used to do all my own mechanic work, I cannot bend down to do it any longer because it pains me to do so. I blew my left knee out and recently had recovered from a heart attack so not in the best of health. I'm a local tractor trailer driver and have had some serious health issues. That's why we looked for a garage that would be fair with us in terms of parts and labor.
I'm expecting Sam Owens to remunerate us for these exorbitant charges of $327 for putting 4 completely assembled struts on my wife's car. It took just four bolts on the bottom of the front struts and eight nuts on the top tower to remove and replace this these parts on the front, and four bolts and eight nuts for the rear units. Each strut shouldn't have taken more than 10 minutes to install but yet, the labor charge was 1.5 hrs. for each unit. I don't believe his labor books are up to date containing labor on quick struts that come as an assembled unit!
