In 1984 Henry Matoza Jr., a Journeyman electrician for a large electrical company based in Oakland and affiliated with Local Union #6 in San Francisco, successfully passed the California State License Board's exam to become a General Building Contractor. He's worked on construction crews of every sort, accelerating to journeyman level, in every position he's held, since he was sixteen years old. Having mastered all phases of construction, from foundations to framing or the fine art of finish carpentry and tile mason; he knew instinctively that he would one day, run his own company.
