Alternator went bad after 80,000 miles. Was upset that my alternator I purchased 2 years ago had no life time warranty. Luckily I purchased an alternator this time at Advanced Auto Parts for around $100 after core exchange. I paid $264 last time from McGee for a non life time alternator. I went back to McGee to install just the Advanced Auto Parts alternator this time and the installation rate went up $7, which is no big deal. The problem I had was after the new alternator was installed I noticed that bolt holding the alternator onto the engine click corners were shiny as if the socket slide across bolt during installation. I immediately informed the mechanic and then later the supervisor that i didn't mind that there was slight wear and tear on the bolt, but i don't want to be liable for later problems with that bolt if they cant take it out.

Sorry about your experience. We do offer the best warranty in the aftermarket industry which is 2 years, or 24,000 miles. Unfortunately we nor can car manufactures offer a lifetime warranty on a mechanic part. As, always we will certainly do our best to handle each and every situation.
