First visit and was not happy from the moment I was called back. The hygienist took it upon herself to call me by a shortened version of my name which is a pet peeve of mine. If you are unsure how to pronounce it then please ask. She never introduced herself and talked with her back to me when she was on the computer. She did the xrays, told me the dentist would be there soon and took off. She was very rude speaking to Dr McKinney regarding another patient (next to me) that had been waiting to speak to him. Dr McKinney came, did not introduce himself until half way through looking at my xrays, complained about insurance companies and the lawsuit against Delta Dental, told me he was the only male there with all his girls (which was really creepy to me) and proceeded to tell me that there was nothing wrong with my teeth on the xray, but looking at my gums he did notice they were inflamed. I mentioned to him that periodontal disease has been ongoing my entire life and I was not interested in doing a deep clean anymore, I wanted to just keep up with regular cleanings. He was very rude and said, well I'm glad I didn't recommend that then. I tried to tell him that my bottom teeth do have some movement and bone loss and he was unfazed and said that it happens to everyone. This has been an ongoing issue and every dentist has noticed it and provided feedback. He never asked me about my history, wearing braces, the gaps between my teeth, fillings, and extractions to remove permanent teeth as a teenager, absolutely nothing. I'm not even sure he asked me what my name was. He did tell me though that he had a lot of new patients that day and thankful that no one had any issues. I was looking forward to finding a dentist that I could mesh with and be able to talk to and that is not Dr. McKinney. I am fearful of the dentist in most cases and his attitude was very off putting. This is definitely not the office for me. I had a wonderful experience with my previous dentist but unfortunately they longer accept my insurance. This is not the office for me and unfortunately won't be able to recommend it

McKinney has no sensitivity toward his patience. His fingers are in my mouth when he tells me my tooth needs to be pulled. It shocked me that I accidentally bit him. He got mad at me and then walks away and tells me what I need done. I told him to repeat what he said because I’m hearing impaired. He came back 6 inches to my face and spoke ridiculously loud! Jerk! He has no patience to be working with patients! I’ll NEVER be back and I’ll be sure no one else I know go to him.
