I’ve been to MCV many times before along with my family also attending MCV. These last two times I’ve left the salon very disappointed with what I got. The first time I was more understanding because of the condition of my hair, but it was still very upsetting because it felt as if they weren’t listening and treating me as a child who got into something I wasn’t supposed to. The most recent time I made the appt. for Monday at 9 am and was told I would have to come in for a consultation which pushed everything that I had planned back. I didn’t understand the purpose of the consultation seeing as I sent pictures to the MCV email of what my hair currently looked like and what I had in mind. Whoever I talked to said we could do the consultation over the phone, so I don’t understand why we couldn’t do it over email. Yet I was still told to go in for the consultation. On Monday, when the consultation was scheduled, I was told that what I wanted done would be possible and it would look good. Happy with the answer I scheduled an appt for Tuesday the 12th. While sitting in the chair getting my hair done, I questioned a lot of what the hair stylist was doing and even mentioned for clarification what exactly was happening. I repeatedly mentioned the brown in my hair and the picture I was trying to achieve and she continued to say that I would turn out exactly like the picture and it would look great. It was very upsetting when after she did my shadow root and I was sitting in the styling chair to see the top half of my hair completely dark, when I was going for a blonde. The stylist saw the look of disappointment and confusion and again assured me when it it was try it would be really blond and you would barely be able to see the brown. I trusted both the salon to hire people who knew what they were doing and the stylist to know what she was doing but I was wrong in doing so. I now have a brown to ash blonde ombré/balayage, which Is basically what I walked in to the salon with. The only difference is I had a warm toned blonde before instead of the disired full head of ashy/bright blond hair. I’m very unhappy with what I recieved.
