I must preface this with the fact that I never give reviews but I couldn't let this one go.

Today, I finally decided to establish myself with a dental office, and Palm Tree is so highly regarded that it was a no-brainer to set up there. I'm giving this review in detail because I think people should know what to expect. So here goes...

The only reason I gave 4 stars was as follows:

1. Front Desk Girls- AMAZING. 10 Stars all day long. They were all helpful, cheerful, and just lightened the mood- exactly what you hope for in any medical situation.

2. The assistant (I'll refer to her as "G"), INCREDIBLE. Great personality, made the anxiety I had disappear, and was just easy to talk to. Again, 10 Stars all day long.

3. The Dentist (won't give out her info because it will become clear of my identity and I don't want it to be reflected on my next visit- plus, I don't want her to be too busy to keep me as a patient) but she was PHENOMINAL. Again, she was easy going, explained everything to me. Told me how my treatment would start and the plan we would develop and answered my questions with a smile. I could not be happier. Another 10 stars.

4. And then we have the hygienist...

Had I ever spoken to her when making my appointment, or had any conversation with her prior to my visit, I would have walked out the door. She was harsh, didn't want me to ask questions, gave me orders instead of directions, and literally asked the assistant "insurance or no insurance" while I was sitting in the chair with my mouth open.

I understand that this may be important, and I am lucky enough to have great insurance- perhaps if she looked at my chart instead of stabbing me in the mouth she would have seen that.

I answered myself (still shocked that this would be a question asked in front of a client/patient). So she rattled off what x-rays to take and left the room, while I could still taste the blood in my mouth from her stabbing my inflamed gums (hence my decision to finally get a proper dentist following a 2 year pandemic)

Let's say I didn't have insurance but had cash, a credit card, or some other form of payment; would she have treated me differently? Going to the dentist when you are not a person that likes doctors offices is difficult to say the least.

Having someone treat you like you don't matter, having no care about my comfort, and having nothing much to say but a negative jab at my gums being inflamed (again- that's why I was there), is just bad business.

I could have chosen any dental office but I chose Palm Tree. And I chose Palm Tree because when I walked in to make the original appointment, the mood was bright, everyone was great, and I had high hopes that this would be my "dentist".

I will return for all of the positive reasons I listed above because they far outweigh one person's negative and innapropriate actions. So know that this is a 5 star rating with one issue.

I highly recommend this office as I think everyone their really takes their job seriously, they are good at what they do, and they know how to deal with people (don't be surprised if you find yourself sticking around a few minutes after your appointment because they are all so great). But good luck if you get stuck with the hygienist that could care less about you- in fact, just stick your insurance card on your forehead so she doesn't have to ask aloud of you insurance status when other patients care a foot away divided by a curtain.

But I digress. Great office, very clean, appointments are timely, and the overall attitude and tone makes it an enjoyable place to be. I will be returning as I plan on this being my established provider.

Hopefully they don't turn me away for being honest about an employee that made me feel like I was a number not a person.

People to,often focus only on the negative so I felt it important to emphasize the amazing staff and dentists they have available. Transparency is key. It's a great office. Just criss your fingers when you get assigned your hygienist.

The attention is bad , not all but some of the staff are incompetent, I think the Human Resources are doing bad hiring wrong people for the place because some of them just are there to give a hard time and they are unknowable of what they are doing, so they give a wrong information or just not knowing the information. They have a policy about reserve the right to accept people that disrespect them but they don’t respect people , I said this because they want you to be 15 minutes before the appointment and they call you in like 30 to one hour after the appointment scheduled. And also they can be rude . So If you don’t want to deal with this you can find a place that have enough time to dedicate to their patients

Every time I lose faith in my curls, I go see Justine. She’s understanding and makes it seem okay if I want to give up on my curly journey. I’ve still never given up because I feel renewed when I leave! She cuts life back into my curls and gives me back the confidence I need to continue wearing my natural curl.
