I think the quality of the dental work is fine.
Unfortunately crucial tasks handled by the front office are very poorly performed:
1. I specifically asked for and booked an appointment with Dr. Leung TWICE. This was done over the phone and in person. But on both appointments, without any explanation or previous warning, I arrived on time and the procedures were performed by Dr. Yung. Given that I have had bad experiences with dentists before, I prefer to have my dental work done by the dentist I have specifically requested.
2. I have an ongoing bill issue, since the insurance claim was not properly handled the first time. I received an annual cleaning covered by my Cigna PPO insurance, only to receive an electronic bill for the full amount. I emailed Kelly to rectify this bill and received no response. It was only when I called the office a week later when Kelly informed me that her email is not working, despite it being listed as the primary contact for billing questions on the bill itself. She told me the claim was still pending, so to not worry about paying. Then a week later, I received a paper bill for the same amount. I brought this bill to my subsequent appointment yesterday and was told they resubmitted the claim so again, to not worry about the bill. Today, I received a call from Kelly. It seemed she was missing my insurance ID in the 2 times that she submitted the claim to Cigna.
3. The online appointment scheduling system is altogether misleading. You can request an appointment, which is different from actually having one. When I received no confirmation, I called the office a few days later, only to be told by Norma that the system was not working. There should be a message on your website, if the booking system is non-operational.
