Dr Brown acts professionally but with caring and understanding of her patients problems and concerns. Talks in language that we understand in detail of the issues at hand from an annual checkup to possibly more serious issues and talks of results and solutions. I have personally recommended Dr Brown to many friends. Would recommend Michiana Eye Center to everyone who’s concerned about their eyes!

I have been seeing Shannon since I was a child. She has seen all members of my family and I have just now realized what my parents have experienced with her now that I am an adult. I was the first client for the day and waited 25 minutes after my exam to be seen. Shannon did not knock upon entering the room, she burst in and did not greet me or make me feel good about visiting. I said, “hello, how are you” she replied, “good, how are you?”, I replied, “I’m doing well thanks.” She replied again, “good, how are you?”. She was very monotonous and did not pay attention and ended up asking me the same question. She reviewed a couple things in the 5 minutes she was in the room with me. I would like to add, she had a very unwelcoming facial expression and never smiled. I get very uncomfortable and the air was very tense. I can’t help but think that it’s because I asked for a copy of my updated prescription which I am required to receive even if I don’t ask. I am highly disappointed in the way this doctor made me feel. My parents have had very similar experiences where their visits are reduced to 15 minutes. I hate to say this but I sat in the car one day and timed it because my mother asked me to. Please do better Shannon. I will never come back.
