The office called me the morning of my son's appointment to ask if they had permission to call my insurance company to see if they would cover his X-Ray's. I said no, because he had recently had his wisdom teeth extracted and had two panoramic X-Rays done. I did not want him further exposed to radiation unnecessarily.
I told my son to SPECIFICALLY STATE that he did not want them done. Once there, he was told that he, "needed them, because the panoramic X Rays he had recently had were looking for something else." I am very upset by this. He is up to date on all of his exams. This to me was just a blatant excuse for them to charge more money.
We have been going here for years. In all that time, I have been happy with our experiences. However, they are not in our network. I will now seek out a dentist in our network and we will not be going back. It's unfortunate, but I feel like they took advantage of my son because I was not there to speak up.
