In my experience, Mindful Movements is the premier pilates studio in the East Bay. The instructors are experts in their field (I've taken classes from Nicky, Terri and Elizabeth) and I always feel like I received an excellent workout. I absolutely LOVE the building that the classes are held in. There is a feel of warmth and calmness to create a true "mindful" workout. I have become so much more technical in my pilates exercises and love it more and more each class I take. I went from several years of attending once a week (I worked in the Silicon Valley) to leaving the corporate world and going Monday through Friday. I am stronger at age 41 than I have ever been. In my experience and opinion, pilates is the best strength training workout out there and one that you can do for a lifetime. Thank you Nicky for opening up such a wonderful studio for our community!

Terri gave us a great workout today. She is so great at describing exactly how each excercise should feel and which area we are working out. She always modifies the activity as needed for each student.

I really like the new equipment, the large rooms full of light and air and yet there is a coziness about the studio once you walk through the front door. The parking situation is not great and one must allow time to search for a spot, but I have been trying to see that as an opportunity to warm up before my class.

Since starting with Mindul Movements I have found myself getting healthier and stronger. Terri is a fantastic instructor and really focuses on the level of the student and adjusts the exercises accordingly.
