I had called in to see if I could do both a filling (since the original had fallen out) and cleaning in the same day. I had called in a little over two weeks prior to my scheduled appointment date and the lady on the phone said "we can do both, just come in an hour earlier then originally scheduled." I said "great," I gave her all the information about on which tooth the filling had fallen out of (which is on my record from years ago regarding the original filling location and size). Once I came in for my appointment, the place was almost a ghost town. I went in, had my cleaning, but no filling. I asked why I didn't get a filling (since I specifically asked for both in one day, with a confirmation response from the receptionist saying that it wouldn't be a problem, remember I called over two weeks in advance). The reply I received was "oh we are very busy so we can't do it today, you are welcome to come back anytime this week and get it done." Now I took time out of my school break to go to the dental office, and now you want me to come back and waste more time of my break, I think not.
Thank you so much for your honest feedback. Our goal is to give the best service possible. We work very hard to perform all dental procedures in the time scheduled. However, if we feel that there is not enough time to properly complete your dental work in the most excellent manner, we find it appropriate to reschedule the patient with a longer appointment. I think that you would agree that you want the best dental outcome possible! If the front desk seemed like a "ghost town", it's because we were busy getting our patients in and out on time! We hope to see you back soon, and feel free to call us if you have any more questions.
