One night my furnace went out and wouldn't reset so I had no heat that very cold night. The next morning I called Modern and spoke to Patrick. He was very pleasant and was able to schedule an appointment for me with Andrew that same morning. Andrew was prompt, courteous, professional and very knowledgeable. His inspection report clearly and precisely described his diagnosis of the problem and offered 2 options to solve it. He also answered all of my questions. My only criticism of the report is that I would've liked to also see a description of what he actually did to diagnose the problem. I haven't had any work done yet because I'm still deciding which action to take.
They replaced my furnace/air conditioning combination unit in August. In the midst of a terrible heat wave, the 35 year old unit in my condominium finally gave out. Their representative was helpful, professional, and a pleasure to work with. The job was done within three days and has worked beautifully. My electric and gas bills have decreased. The guys who installed the unit (on one of the hottest days of the summer in my second/third floor home) were amazing. Again, professional, friendly, and I was co comfortable with them that I was able to leave the house, take care of errands, and find some cooler places to be, while they worked. I have now signed on for their service plans on both units, cancelling the plan I previously had with the gas company. Great experience!
Matt and the entire crew were awesome. Everything was handled quickly, efficiently, and professionally. Even though there was an issue when their vendor delivered the wrong equipment, they modified their schedules and worked to complete the job within my own personal time constraints and availability. I would recommend them to anyone and I look forward to working with them again.
Making an appointment was easy and schedule was based on my availability. Drew was a professional who was extremely knowledgeable about the HVAC system. Drew was detailed oriented, advised of the steps he was taking and had great customer service and communication skills.
Modern's insistence on 'making sure ' proved worthwhile when, what appeared to be a filter replacement issue, was actually air in the fuel line. Every time I have dealt with the folks at Modern, everyone has been courteous, professional and helpful.
I just bought my house in August 2016 and the furnace was brand new as a part of a flip prior to my purchase. My first instinct when my heat stopped working was to call the number of the company that installed it. I called on a Friday morning; they said they could send someone out on Tuesday . . . in the winter! I called Modern after some quick googling and was thrilled that not only could they send someone out that day, but within a couple of hours. Then they called me awhile later to see if they could come out even earlier -- heck yes! It really made my day. The problem was corrected quickly and the price was fair. I'm actually thrilled the first company couldn't come out; they really did me a favor.
Installation was timely, they took the time to explain what they were doing. The personnel were knowledgeable and to the point about the system and its requirements. Service personnel are also fast and through.
