This customer brought her vehicle in for a transmission repair. We quoted $995 to rebuild her existing transmission and $3400 to completely replace it. We were clear in the pricing and did not change the price. She decided that she didn't want the repair and had her vehicle towed. While a new transmission will clearly cost more than a rebuilt transmission, there must have been some confusion when it came to which service would cost $995 and which would cost $3400.
