Motor Motion is a family owned business originally established in downtown Salida in 1979. Greg and Joanne Wray, the owners, maintain a personal touch with their customers and enjoy making new friends one car at a time! In 1990 they moved their business to the more modern and spacious location on Greenleaf Court near Costco. During the last 30 years, Greg and Joanne have earned a trustworthy reputation for excellence with both their customers and their peers in the automotive industry. Their professionalism, knowledge, and experience puts them in the top tier of independent auto repair shop owners.
The Wrays have lived and raised their family and grown Motor Motion in the Modesto/Salida area for over 30 years. The Wrays are constantly furthering their education and hold certificates in many different areas and are both graduates of the Automotive Management Institute (AMI). Greg and Joanne are on a first name basis with most of their customers (or at least with their vehicles) and count their customers as friends as well as blessings to their family. As a company Motor Motion requires continuing education and training for their team of professional technicians, keeping them current and prepared for vehicles of the future. It has always been important to the Wrays to have their employees proud of where they work. Motor Motion provides their employees with the most current tools and diagnostic equipment to enable them to perform their jobs as well as they possibly can.

Just got my car back from Motor Motion 2 days ago. I had an engine misfire that 4 other shops have looked at and have been unable to fix. It took Motor Motion only 1 day to find the problem, get the parts and repair my car. This place gets an A+ in my book. With service like that I won't be going anywhere else ever again. Lose my e-mail my address and phone number. Do not ever contact me again, your pricing is a joke.Please leave me alone. I told you I needed a water pump and you charged me over a hundred dollars to tell me I needed a water pump. Your company is a joke. Plus I got my water pump fixed for one third the price you quoted. I should report you to the Better Business Bureau

Everyone at Motor Motion has been kind, professional and concerned about my automotive needs. I appreciate them updating me regarding my vehicle(s) repair schedule. I have never felt confident and secure about taking my car anywhere else. Usually, repair shops try to take advantage of me (being a female). But I never felt that at Motor Motion. Service was fast, courteous and efficient. We would have preferred to be home in Sonora, but we were made comfortable and were treated generously -- driven to Appleby's for dinner and picked up when finished, and on our way less than 3 hours after we arrived, I think. It was a major repair and nobody likes a big bill to start a vacation trip, but that's how the ball bounces sometimes. I do still plan to come by and pick up the part you replaced, but have run into several delays since getting home on Saturday...Thanks again for your good work, Chuck Peterson
