I scheduled a first time visit, asked the clerk if you excepted my insurance. I made the appointment. It is underhanded to let someone who has been down on bed rest, unable to drive themselves, suffering in near constant severe pain, to be turned away because you fail to disclose over the phone about your $90.00 up front fee. It is a chain reaction to friends, family, who take time out of their busy lives to drive a patient who us unable to, only to find out you are turned away after you get there, after you have provided two insurances that covers my visits.

I will be undergoing Chiropractic care for the rest if my life. My doctor moved away. He would have done everything in his power to get me well.

I have never seen a Chiropractor take an up front fee. If you as a doctor are so secure in your ability to treat patients effectively, then you wouldn't be taking an unethical deposit on a patient's life.

I'm not sure how the Board if Chiropractors allows this. But, I will be sure to find out. You have a very expensive commercial building for a Chiropractor. I'm guessing this is the reason for these fees. Perhaps it is for administrative costs, which my insurance pays for your services. I will be sure to include how shifty your demeanor was, when I asked you for the reason for these fees. You could not look me straight in the eye. Thanks for making my friend take time off from work for nothing.

Lisa - as you were told when you scheduled, we do accept and participate with your insurance. YOU are responsible for YOUR out of pocket fees based on your insurance coverage and limitations. There is NO "up front fee" - you were informed of your out of pocket responsibility BEFORE you even went back to see the doctor so that you knew exactly how much it would be --- most people appreciate knowing how much things cost BEFORE services are rendered instead of getting a bill in the mail later. I don't see how giving you relevant information regarding your out of pocket expenses would be considered "taking an unethical deposit on a patient's life". For the records, you did go through a very thorough COMPLIMENTARY CONSULTATION and were NEVER charged anything, as you did not go through any treatment with the doctor. Again, I have no clue what you mean by an "up front fee". Regarding your comment of us having a "very expensive commercial building for a chiropractor" - thank you for the compliment. We are very happy with our location in IHOP PLAZA as it has ample parking for our patients and easy access from the 501. Regarding the "expensive" part - I have no idea what that is supposed to mean or the relevance as you have no idea what I pay in rent or if it is expensive compared to the fair market value of office space in Myrtle Beach area. I can honestly say that I have never heard someone call my receptionist "shifty", but I will discuss with her your impression of her personality. I've never met you, but if I did, I would definitely be able to look you straight in the eye as I know I do everything in my ability and go above and beyond to help patients. I would also be able to tell you, with all sincerity, that I hope that you find the doctor and office that you are looking for, as my office is clearly not a good fit your your care.

Who;s better that Drl Mike? Each time I get worked on I feel taller and more nimble.

Back to playing golf three times a week with no ill effects of a bad back and cranky knee.

Great atmosphere in office with terrific staff. Good music too....

Have been going since last fall. I have lumbar DDD. Treatment has helped the peripheral issues of the feet and hips. However, there is really no improvement in my back. This is not unexpected since I was told right in the beginning that Dr. Mike can’t cure the DDD issue, he can only attempt to slow the progression.

Excellent service by staff. Dr Mike goes beyond the basic processes other Chiropractors provide. He and Dr Torri meet with you to gain an understanding of your needs and put together an action plan for you. They do not use a cookie cutter approach to your treatment but spend the time to put together a you approach to chiropractic care. Would recommend Myrtle Beach Spine Centerto anyone who is struggling with back issues. You won’t be disappointed!
