The WORST dentist experience EVER

I had an appointment on 2/8 at 11am. Upon arriving at the dentist office, I noticed that on the outside of the store-front glass window it read: “no appointment necessary”. I thought that was odd for a dentist but thought maybe that was just in case there was an emergency. While sitting in the waiting room, I heard the frustrated patients complaining about how long they were waiting and watched several approach the Staff window to advise that they wanted to reschedule or in some cases some just left without advising the staff. After waiting one hour and 45 minutes, I was finally seen by the dentist. She seemed knowledgeable, from what I could ascertain in the 5 minutes that I was with her. I was diagnosed as needed root canal and told that I needed to make another appointment. I went to the staff for the follow up appointment and was provided with an appointment of 2/9 at noon with Dr. Nick. The staff that was making the appointment advised me that I should be prepared to wait, even if I arrive early. First sign of an issue.

Fast forward to the next day Thursday, 2/9, the day of my appointment. I received a call from the dentist office at ~9:30am and advised that the doctor could see me earlier if I could get there (due to the inclement weather). I advised that I was on my way and would be there ASAP. I arrived at the office at 10am and signed in. After about an hour and a half waiting, I used the bathroom facility; after washing my hands I noticed that there were no paper towels to dry my hands. Yet, another sign of an issue. I advised one of the staff and they advised me that they ran out of paper towels and that they were awaiting the order. I waited about another 30 minutes, it is now noon and I had been waiting for 2 hours. After two (2) hours of waiting, without even an update from ANYONE in the office, I simply could bear no more. I asked the staff for my records and let them know that I would be going to another dentist. As I was waiting for my documents, I asked one of the staff the following question: “have you ever had to wait 2 hours for a scheduled appointment” and her reply was: “Yes, all the time”. I was horrified by this response.

In conclusion, I am thinking that this was an omen of some sort. If the staff and the dentists are so discourteous and without regard for their patients, what kind of dental treatment would I have received?

In the meantime, I will advise EVERYONE that I know in this area of my awful experience

This group dental clinic has been very easy for me as a person who has neglected her dental needs due to the demands of single Parenthood and low income poverty. I took my children to their dentists but not myself. At my age, this particular dentistry office treats my teeth CORRECTLY(they have had to re-do what other dentists did) and they do it painlessly!!!!! I will said it again...PAINLESSLY! LOL! This is, embarrassingly, VERY IMPORTANT to me! Probably, has something to do with aging!!!! Less pain, more joy!

I have enjoyed the Dentists, themselves, and their staff.

Now, here is the most relevant piece of data for you: I have improved my dental health under Dr. Ginsberg's tutelage and have had NO CAVITIES for some time now! This last one is definitely MY FAULT! I tried to celebrate surviving eye surgery by eating four to six bags of CHOCOLATE! GEESH, who wouldn't get a small cavity after that!!!!! But, I digress and forgive me! Bottom line? THESE PEOPLE ROCK!!!

Today we were taken right in at our appt time. My son and I both had full checkups and cleanings. We were in and out within an hour. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Love when my time is respected and service is courteous.

It was terrible I went in with a verry bad tooth ache haven't been able to eat on either side and they just clean my teeth and sent me away with both the tooth ache I walked in with. Then they scheduled me all the way until the 29th of November to remove 1 tooth.. although I told them that I am 2 1/2 months pregnant they did not even see if they could have done something for the pain. Then the doctor just gave a prescription for the pain which was Motrin MOTRIN!! TO a pregnant person really. Now I have to sit here and starve myself and unborn child until after the 29th. Just pathetic...

I love this place. Full disclosure have Medicaid, and most dental offices will not even accept my insurance. Neptune Dental treats me like I have world class top of the line insurance. They are all very nice to me. My dental work always gets done properly. I had a cap done 2 years ago and it still looks like new.
