Poor. This office is overtly interested in payment with patient's well being a distant second. I lost a filling and to County Dental at New City's credit they saw me within 24 hours after I called. The dentist did an 30 second evaluation and told me I needed a crown and he would install a temporary filling. He left and returned post X-rays with some paste on his pinky which was the temporary filling. He spent another 15 seconds to swab the paste into the cavity and assured me the filling would harden and last until the three step crown process was complete (assessment, measurement, installation). The temporary filling dissolved in a matter of hours and after much coaxing I was able to get an appointment with another dentist 10 days later. The office was very unapologetic about the fact that the temporary filling did not hold and recommended that the foundation for the crown be installed which would be permanent. They were able to receive insurance pre-authorization but still charged me what they expect from the insurance company to make sure they received their full payment up front. This is backwards and where the greed comes in. This office has often recommended non or partially covered insurance treatments once treatment is in progress. Too often I leave this office feeling untreated and over charged!!!
