I've been bringing my pets to Newburgh Vet for many years, the care they have received from wellness to when they were ill has been excellent. The doctors, nurses, techs and receptionists have always been friendly, helpful and compassionate. They treat us like family. They also have a great boarding facility.
I felt they did a good job, were helpful and informative, and took good care of my pet’s needs. They are open every day with hours convenient for someone who can’t always schedule appointments during normal business hours. I was seen promptly upon my arrival, provided a diagnosis and course of treatment shortly after, and back on my way home with my pet. My only issue is in regards to curbside service requirement. With the Covid vaccine having been accessible to anyone who wants it for some time now, I think it is important to allow owners to go inside with their pet during examinations and routine treatments to provide comfort to the pets which those of us have who become very nervous throughout the whole ordeal. Seeing how badly my cat reacted to the initial car ride and even worse on the car ride home, I think having been able to go inside with him would’ve eased some of his concerns and I will most likely go to a closer vet next time who is fully opened up. I would request that they offer curbside service for those who would prefer this, and normal, indoor service for anyone else.
I've been going to Newburgh Veterinary Hospital for over 15 years. From my experience there is no other place I would take my cats but there. They are the "REAL DEAL". DR. FLANAGAN has treated most of my cats . Her expertise, compassion and dedication in treating many of my cats and giving them new life is one of the reasons I consider them the very best.
