About
Northeast Veterinary Hospital is proud to serve the Cornelia GA area for everything pet related. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Drs Douglas and Cecily Nieh, who are licensed, experienced Cornelia veterinarians.
Northeast Veterinary Hospital is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care.
We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of advanced laboratories. We also work closely with local practices providing special diagnostic and special dental procedures when they are required. The NEVH facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital sterile surgery suite, in-house digital x-ray capabilities, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and indoor boarding kennels with outdoor walking and play areas.
At Northeast Veterinary Hospital we strive to offer not only sound advice, but also optimal veterinary care, thus allowing you the enjoyment of your companion for a maximum number of years. Our job is not only to treat your pet when he or she isn't feeling well, but also to help you learn how to keep your best friend happy and healthy.

The receptionist was very courteous. I did not have a scheduled appointment because I had informed the head nurse on a phone conversation that I would return when I had sufficient data to go over with the doctor. She was kind and said that she would take care of adding me to the days schedule.
It did not take long before the nurse called for me and my pet to come into the examining room for our test. My pet was calm with this nurse; she has seen and worked with him before, and has a good way with animals. I do not know her name, but she has long dark hair and is very nice. She saw that I was having trouble walking, due to a knee issue and offered to carry my pet, in his cage, to the examining room. She also carried him to my car after our visit with the doctor. Great customer service!!!!!!!!!
My visit with Dr. Cecily was very pleasant, as it always is. I trust Dr. Cecily. She always spends a good bit of time with me and my pet, and honesty explains health situations, so that I am fully aware of what to expect. Dr. Cecily listens to me, and the research and tests that I conduct at home, so that we can best care for my pet in the most comprehensive way. Not all doctors will accept home evaluations when treating a patient; but an owners knowledge of their pet, and their pets behaviors, combined with the medical expertise of the doctor, is a winning combination!

Mr Durham,
As we discussed, the knot is actually a subcutaneous mass that became more noticeable after she was groomed. The injection of diazepam was in the opposite leg down by the ankle where the veins are most prominent. We do not give IV injections into the thigh where the knot is located. As far as her acting abnormally, this is most likely due to her seizure condition worsening or a bout of gastroenteritis and is unrelated to the diazepam she received. Given the severity of her most recent seizure, I would strongly recommend starting a daily anticonvulsant. Unfortunately, being seen after-hours is associated with an emergency fee to cover the overtime hours accumulated by the staff members that come in and stay late to service you. I hope she is feeling better soon - Dr. Doug
