Dr was very short with me. I was told to bring my raised shoe, and Dr told me that they don't do shoes. When I called to make the appt I was very clear of my needs. I was treated like I was dumb. Also was degraded for having Medicare, and Medicaid.
I'm very sorry for the experience you had at our office. It is my desire that all are treated with compassion as well as good care. I suspect the one who scheduled you was confused between the difference of orthotic shoes (which are part of the medicare program) and orthotic inserts that go into a shoe, which we do provide for most with the exception of medicaid, as we are not credentialed to do so. I will be sure to further educate my staff on this point. I hope you find the care that you need and again I apologize for your experience.
