Dr Gelfund, being highly professional, consistently demonstrates a warm, personable, sympathetic greeting, always meeting me w/a genuine concern and friendly, patient conversation about my personal life as if we were good friends catching up. Only afterwards do we move into the treatment room.
I had planned on a particular procedure but x-rays revealed an additional problem which would inevitably become, if not disastrous, at least disabling and set me right back in this comfortable albeit highly inconvenient chair. He apologized profusely insisting he was not marketing and showed me the image demonstrating the lesion. I acceeded to the procedure and spent the next 2.5 hours in that warm comfy chair while Matt (yes Matt) had his fingers up to the elbows in my mouth.
He explained everything as he went, continuously asked if I was ok and as I figetted and squirmed beneath he never said a word like I would have: SIT STILL! STOP FIGITING; HOW CAN I WORK WHILE YOU'RE MOVING AROUND LIKE THAT?! Course he's so much nicer than I SO much nicer.
In short, I cannot recommend Dr Gelfund highly enough. It is hard enough sometimes to find medical people who will even RETURN PHONE CALLS; to find medical professionals who are are not..."I'm the doctor YOU'RE the pt,"...ish in manner, let alone as personable and professional as Dr Gelfund. I have no complaints w/my procedure or procedure and though I do not relish the prospect of returning to the CHAIR, if I must I would have no one else beside it, ever, but Dr Gelfund.
